Starting with Jamf Connect 2.45, admins and users will notice a significant visual change to the login window. The update introduces a fullscreen design that aligns more closely with Apple’s macOS Sequoia style login UI, complete with date, time, and repositioned system controls. While the functionality remains the same, the layout has shifted, and potentially causing confusion for users familiar with the previous design.  
  
Why the change? This update was made to align with Apple’s evolving design language, specifically the fullscreen login experience introduced in macOS Sequoia. While functionality remains unchanged, the visual shift reflects Jamf’s ongoing effort to stay consistent with Apple’s UI expectations.

## Can this be changed?

Jamf does **not** provide a setting or configuration profile key to revert to the old login window style introduced in versions prior to 2.45. This is a permanent UI change made by Jamf to align with Apple’s current design direction.

That said, if necessary, you can temporarily downgrade to Jamf Connect 2.44 to retain the classic modal style login window. However, this is only a short-term workaround. As Jamf releases future updates:

- Older macOS versions may stop receiving security updates
- **Newer macOS versions may become incompatible with Jamf Connect 2.44**
- Support for older versions may be deprecated by Jamf

**Bottom line:** While downgrading to 2.44 is possible in the short term, it’s best viewed as a temporary workaround. As Jamf and Apple continue to evolve their platforms, IT teams should begin planning to support and communicate the new login experience moving forward.
